Preparation in advance:

Mix the yeast (and sugar) with the lukewarm milk and let rest for 10 minutes.

Sift the flour in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and stir well. Let rise for about an hour on a warm spot (30°C) and sprinkle the salt over. Stir carefull.

How to prepare:

Heat the oil to ± 180°C/360°F. Peel the apples (shortly before frying to prevent from getting brown) and remove the core with an apple corer. Cut the apples in 1 cm thick slices so you get a hole in the middle and sprinkle with little cinnamon photo recipe. Dip the apple slices completely in the batter, drain a little and fry the apple fritters golden brown photo recipe. Drain on kitchen paper. Serve with icing sugar photo recipe.

If you're making oldyears eve fritters too, make them first: by baking lots of apple fritters the oil will get very dirty.

Another batter you can use you'll find here, without using the spices.
