Preparation:© Janneke's Recipe pages - recipe puff pastry snacks, party foodsPeel the asparagus, cut to ± 20 cm long. Put the asparagus in boiling water, add salt. Cook the asparagus about 3 minutes. Skim from the pan and chill with cold water. Dry the aspargus and divide each in 2 parts of 10 cm.Preheat the oven to 200°C/395°F (fan oven 180°C/360°F).Mix salt, black pepper and grated peel and coat the asparagus.Beat the egg yolk with 2 teaspoons water. Half the slices puff pastry, place 1 asparagus (=2 pieces) in the middle. Fold the puff pastry over the asparagus and stick the edges together with some egg. Close the packages well.Place on a greased sheet, coat with the egg-mixture and sprinkle with sesame seed.Bake the aspargus packages golden brown in 15-20 minutes. |
