Preparation:© Janneke's Recipe pages - recipe cannings, vegetablesWash and stone the fruits and vegetables, optional peel and cut in pieces.Mix the fruit en vegetables in a wide pan with the sugar, vinegar, salt, cayenne pepper, pumpkin spices and a cotton cloth with mustard seed and cinnamon.Bring to a boil, simmer and reduce till the mixture gets thicker, stir every now and then.Remove the cotton with herbs, pour the mixture hot into sterilised jars, close and label.This is a sour/sharp fruit/vegetables-mixture, delicious with meat fondue, barbecue, (Frankfurter) sausages, ham and lamb meat. |
