Tomato pepper sauce


3-4 rawits

(very hot little peppers)

1 tablespoon oil

1 small onion

2 garlic cloves

1 can peeled tomatoes

2 teaspoons sugar

How to prepare:

Half the peppers (you can use less than 3) lengthwise, remove seeds and seed lists and chop (use gloves when cutting peppers and avoid touching your eyes with your hands !).

Heat some oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion over low heat 3-5 minutes.

Add the pressed garlic and pepper and stir-fry another minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and sugar and simmer the sauce 15 minutes.

Cool a little and mash the sauce with a kitchen machine or blender.

Flavour with pepper and salt.

Serve the pepper sauce with i.e. Mexican meatballs.
