Chinese sweet-sour sauce

Ingredients:

5 tablespoons pancake syrup

4 tablespoons vinegar

1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce

1 dl hover for conversion water

1 small can pineapple

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

5 balls stem ginger

 

Preparation:

Melt the syrup over low heat and add vinegar, sweet soy sauce, water and the pineapple juice from the can.
Mix 2 tablespoons water with the cornstarch and add, while stirring, to the sauce.
Bring the sauce to a boil.
Add the chopped ginger and 2 slices chopped pineapple, simmer about 2 minutes.
 
Delicious at all kinds of Oriental meals.
