Rosette waffles

Ingredients:

125 gr hover for conversion flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

salt

2 eggs

2 dl hover for conversion milk

icing sugar or cinnamon

 

extra:

rosetta wafer iron

oil for frying

For this recipe you need a rosette iron.
They are available with for example butterfly, wheel or star shapes.

 

Make of sifted flour, baking powder, little salt, eggs and milk a smooth batter.
Heat the oil and place the iron a minute in the oil to get it hot and greased.
Hold the iron some seconds to just under the edge in the batter and place in the oil .
Fry the wafers golden brown and drain on kitchen paper.
When the iron is completely hot, the waffles will release automatically, but at the start you must loosen the wafers with a kitchen knife.
Sprinkle the cooled rosettes widely with icing sugar or cinnamon .
