Arak cookies


Ingredients:

125 gr convert conversionbutter or margarine

75 gr convert conversionbrown cooled butter

3 egg yolks

grated peel of 1 lemon

180 gr convert conversionsugar

375 gr flour convert conversion

pitted drained cherries or marasquin cherries

250 gr convert conversionicing sugar

2 tablespoons arak

Preparation in advance:

Beat the butter creamy with the browned butter.

Add yolks, lemon grater and sugar, stir well and add the flour.

Make small balls of the dough, put on a greased baking sheet and place the sheet 1 to 2 hours at a cold place.

How to prepare:

Preheat the oven to 200C/395F (fan oven 180C/360F).

Push in every ball a cherry and place the plate in the middle of the baking oven. Bake the cookies 10-15 minutes.

Stir the icing sugar smooth with 1 tablespoon hot water and the arak and divide over the cooled cookies.
