Onion carrot stew

Dutch hutspot (6 persons)

Ingredients:

500 gr hover for conversion meat

meat spices

3 dl hover for conversion water

500 gr hover for conversion onions

500 gr hover for conversion winter carrot

500 gr - 1 kg hover for conversion potatoes

salt

pepper

75 gr hover for conversion butter

 

(200 gr hover for conversion smoked pork)

Preparation:

Cube the meat. Season with meat spices and fry brown on all sides over high heat.
Add boiling water and 1 chopped onion and simmer for 1,5-2 hours.
Add the remaining sliced onions and top with the small cubed carrots.
Add salt at flavor and cover the pan. Simmer for almost 1 hour.
Bring in another pan the potatoes with salt to a boil.
(Fry the small cubed side pork (unsmoked streaky bacon) in a frying pan.)
If the potatoes are done, mash well with the butter.
Add the meat mixture (and optional the side pork) and mix well.
