Dutch "Hete bliksem" (apple potato stew)Ingredients:1.5 kg potatoessalt500 gr sour apples250 gr sweet apples(vinegar)250 gr smoked streaky bacon2 small onions

How to prepare:Bring the potatoes to a boil in 2 dl water. Sprinkle with salt and cover the pan.Peel the apples, quarter and remove the cores. Half each quarter.When the potatoes have been cooking for 20 minutes, place the apples on top. Cook for 10 more minutes. Drain the fluid and keep it.Stir the potatoes and apples well with a spoon. (Flavour with some vinegar.)Fry the smoked pork over high heat.Fry the ring-sliced onion in the pork fat golden brown.Put the "hete bliksem" stew in a bowl and cover with the side pork and onions.
