1 large onion
1 laurel leaf
1 garlic clove
1 tablespoon vinegar

How to prepare:
Rub the beef with salt and pepper.
Brown the butter in a frying pan and brown the beef on both sides.
Half the onion and prick a clove in each half. Fry the onion together with the meat.
Add bit by bit 2 dl hot water (beef mixture must keep boiling), laurel leaf, vinegar and the garlic clove . (Optional add a peeled tomato)
Put a cover on the pan and let the beef simmer over low heat for 2-3 hours.
Remove the laurel leaf.
