Preparation:© Janneke's Recipe pages - soup recipes, one-pot mealsMash the crustless bread with milk and beaten egg. Add the ground beef and as many breadcrumbs to get a firm mass. Make small soup balls.Fill a pan with 2 liter water and bring to a boil. Add sifted tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon cubes, thinly sliced onion and sliced leek. Bring to a boil.Mix the cornstarch with half a cup of water. Add, while stirring, to the soup. Let the soup simmer for 10 minutes.Add the (slightly mashed) peeled tomatoes with the juice. Bring to boil.Add the soupballs. As soon as they start floating the soup is ready.Serve with French bread and garlic butter. |
