Construction workers tomato soup

for 4 construction workers or 8 persons

Ingredients:

500 gr hover for conversion ground beef

1 slice white bread

2 tablespoons milk

1 egg

breadcrumbs

2 liter hover for conversion water

2 packages sifted tomatoes (1 liter hover for conversion)

2 can tomato paste (280 gr hover for conversion)

8 herbs bouillon cubes

(for 4 liter hover for conversion soup) 

2 onions

1 large leek

4 large tablespoons cornstarch

2 cans peeled tomatoes (1 liter hover for conversion)

Mash the crustless bread with milk and beaten egg. Add the ground beef and as many breadcrumbs to get a firm mass. Make small soup balls.
Fill a pan with 2 liter water and bring to a boil. Add sifted tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon cubes, thinly sliced onion and sliced leek. Bring to a boil.
Mix the cornstarch with half a cup of water. Add, while stirring, to the soup. Let the soup simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the (slightly mashed) peeled tomatoes with the juice. Bring to boil.
Add the soupballs. As soon as they start floating the soup is ready.
Serve with French bread and garlic butter.
