Syrup waffles
(Dutch "stroopwafels")
100 gr
dark brown sugar
100 gr butter

1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
200 gr flour

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
syrup:
175 gr
kitchen syrup
90 gr
dark brown sugar
1/2-1 teaspoon cinnamon
50 gr
butter
extra:
round waffle iron Ø 12 cm

Preparation in advance:
Mix for the dough the dark brown sugar with butter, egg, milk, flour and cinnamon.
Warm for the syrup the kitchen syrup and stir the brown sugar in till it is dissolved.
Add cinnamon and butter.
How to prepare:
Make small balls of the dough and bake in a waffle iron.
Coat half of the waffles with syrup mixture and place a second waffle on top or, original, cut the waffles in 2 thinner waffles and coat in between.
(Warm optional a syrup waffle before eating in the oven to 50°C/120°F.)
