Pinetree cookies(Dutch dennekoeken)Ingredients:125 gr butter4 eggs500 gr brown sugarpinch salt4 teaspoons cookie spices600 gr flour3 teaspoons baking powderflour for dusting5 tablespoons light beer150 gr pearl sugar

Preparation in advance:Stir the butter soft in a bowl and add the eggs one by one. Add sugar, salt and spices, mix well and sift flour and baking powder over. Knead to a firm dough, wrap and let rest at least 1 hour in the fridge.How to prepare:Preheat the oven to 200°C/395°F (fan oven 180°C/360°F).Flour a work area, roll out the dough until 1/2 cm thick and cut round cookies (about 10-12 cm/4-5 inch). Coat with beer, sprinkle the pearl sugar over.Place on a greased sheet and bake crispy in 20 minutes.Take the cookies, immediately after baking, from the sheet and let cool on a wire rack.When kept airtight (in a drum) these cookies can be preserved very long.
