Kings bread

Ingredients:

300 gr hover for conversion sugar

300 gr hover for conversion butter or margarine

350 gr hover for conversion flour

 

1 egg

300 gr hover for conversion roughly ground mixed nuts

100 gr hover for conversion chopped candied lemon

100 gr hover for conversion pearl sugar

3 tablespoons whipping cream

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 200°C/395°F (fan oven 180°C/360°F).
Make a firm dough of butter, sugar and flour and roll to 1/2 cm thick on greased and flour dusted baking sheet.
Make in a sauce pan a mixture of the remaining ingredients and heat a little (do not cook). Spread the mixture over the cake.
Bake the kings bread 10-15 minutes.
Cut, immediately after baking, in squares.
