Stewed meat with spice cake

Ingredients:

500-750 gr hover for conversion beef loin

1-2 tablespoons tasty mustard

salt and pepper

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

3 large onions

4 garlic cloves

1/2 litre hover for conversion dark beer

1 tablespoon oregano

1 tablespoon parsley

4 thick slices breakfast muffin

 

Preparation:

Rub the beef loin with mustard and season with pepper and salt.
Brown the meat in butter or margarine.
Add the sliced onions and garlic and fry another 3 minutes.
Add the beer slowly (the mixture must keep cooking).
Add the herbs and the crumbled cake.
Simmer, covered, for at least to 2 hours.
Delicious with mashed potatoes.
(I know: it sounds a very strange combination, meat, mustard, beer and cake. But trust me: it's really great!)
