Ingredients:
250 gr kumquats
1/2 dl Grand Marnier
(or Cointreau)
50 gr caster sugar

Wash the kumquats, half them and remove the pips.
Bring in a pan 1/2 dl water to a boil with the orange liquor and the sugar.
Add the kumquats and simmer in a closed pan about 40 minutes.
The kumquat fruit must be translucent and the fluid resemble syrup.
Let the kumquats cool and serve in a bowl.
Delicious served with wild meat and poultry.
(You can use the syrup to top ice and other desserts)
