How to prepare:Cook the potatoes with the salt well done in about 30 minutes.Make of potatoes, milk, butter, nutmeg, salt and pepper a, not too thin, smooth mash.Wash (optional) and drain the sauerkraut.Fry the ground beef and stir to crumbs.Cover the bottom of a greased oven dish with the ground beef, divide the sauerkraut and cover with sliced bananas and the mashed potatoes. (Optional you can sprinkle with some grated cheese, breadcrumbs and a little lump butter.)Place the dish approximately 25 minutes in the oven at 200°C/395°F (fan oven 180°C/360°F).(source: the Welkokende Vriesche Keukenmeid)The Dutch version: Dutch sauerkraut dish.
