Frisian brandied apricots (Fryske boerenmeisjes)


300 gr convert conversiondried apricots

4 dl water convert conversion

300 gr convert conversionwhite candy sugar

1 cinnamon stick

4 cloves

1 liter convert conversionbrandy


2 liter convert conversionpreserving jar

Preparation in advance:

Wash the apricots and soak 24 hours in the water.

How to prepare:

Bring the (optional: sliced) apricots with the soaking water and candy sugar to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.

Spoon the apricots in a 2 liter convert conversionjar, add the fluid and let cool in the open jar.

Add cinnamon stick, cloves and brandy.

Close the jar, shake well and let rest at least 6 weeks.
