Frisian brandied apricots (Fryske boerenmeisjes)Ingredients:300 gr dried apricots4 dl water300 gr white candy sugar1 cinnamon stick4 cloves1 liter brandy
extra:2 liter preserving jar

Preparation in advance:Wash the apricots and soak 24 hours in the water.How to prepare:Bring the (optional: sliced) apricots with the soaking water and candy sugar to a boil and simmer 10 minutes.Spoon the apricots in a 2 liter jar, add the fluid and let cool in the open jar.Add cinnamon stick, cloves and brandy.
Close the jar, shake well and let rest at least 6 weeks.
