Frisian brandied raisins (Fryske boerenjongens)


250 gr convert conversionraisins

125 gr convert conversionwhite candy sugar

1.5 dl water convert conversion

1 cinnamon stick

1 liter convert conversioncanning brandy


1 liter convert conversionpreserving jar

How to prepare:

Wash the raisins and drain well.

Bring the water with candy sugar and cinnamon stick to a boil.

Add the raisins and keep 5 minutes almost boiling.

Remove the raisins with a skimmer and put in a sterilised 1 liter convert conversionpreserving jar.

Reduce the remaining fluid 3-5 minutes on a high heat. Let cool a little.

Pour the sugar syrup and brandy over the raisins and close the jar.

Wait at least 3 months before opening.
