Frisian brandied raisins (Fryske boerenjongens)Ingredients:250 gr raisins125 gr white candy sugar1.5 dl water1 cinnamon stick1 liter canning brandy
extra:1 liter preserving jar

How to prepare:Wash the raisins and drain well.Bring the water with candy sugar and cinnamon stick to a boil.Add the raisins and keep 5 minutes almost boiling.Remove the raisins with a skimmer and put in a sterilised 1 liter preserving jar.Reduce the remaining fluid 3-5 minutes on a high heat. Let cool a little.Pour the sugar syrup and brandy over the raisins and close the jar.
Wait at least 3 months before opening.
